Winter Parking

The Village has a winter parking ban in effect from November 1 - March 31.

There shall be NO Parking on any public street or municipal parking lot within the Village between hours of 1AM and 6AM. 7.03(2). Fine is $15.00.

Sidewalks to be kept clear

The owner/occupant of any parcel shall promptly each day remove snow and ice within 24 hours of accumulation upon the sidewalk. When ice has so formed that it cannot be removed, the owner/occupant shall sprinkle with a material which will prevent the sidewalk from being dangerous to pedestrians. If sidewalk found to be in violation of code, the Director of Public Works shall cause the snow or ice to be removed or sprinkled. The cost will be invoiced to the property owner and assessed against the property if unpaid. 8.06(1).

Snow deposit in streets is restricted

No person shall deposit snow from premise sidewalks or driveways onto any street in the Village. 8.06(2).

Trees overhanging sidewalks

All limbs of trees or shrubs which project or overhang sidewalks shall be trimmed to a minimum height of 7' or the behind the berth of sidewalk. 10.04(5).

Street Tree Planting

Planting trees in terraces is permitted by permit only. Please contact the Village Office for a Street Tree Planting Plan & Permit.

Locates - Call 811 before you dig

Valders Public Utilities is a member of Diggers Hotline. For all service requests that involve locates for underground electric, water and/or sewer installations located in the Village, please call 1-800-242-8511 at least 3 working days prior to digging. After the Village receives notification from Diggers Hotline for any locate requests, the area will be marked off with paint or flags.
